Saturday: 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Outside of these hours, you will need your badge to access the buildings and the underground car park.
ESSENCE
NOI is South Tyrol’s growing innovation district that links economy and science to boost R&D investment, business innovation and research impact.
VISION
We choose to be one of Europe’s leading next-generation science and technology parks, to serve best our territory and its companies, Europe’s values and the planet’s future.
NEXT GENERATION
As a next-generation European science and technology park, we focus on sustainability, open innovation, a European innovation strategy and the needs of the territory.
MISSION
NOI is power of place, culture of cooperation and nature of innovation. Here, companies and start-ups, university faculties and research institutes find and shape an inspiring, sustainable and multilingual environment with research excellence and labs, specialised services, incubation, technological institutes and public engagement.
NATURE OF INNOVATION
“Nature of Innovation” is our way of thinking. Inspired by nature and adapted to change, we rethink common patterns and create new solutions for the benefit of people and nature.
Two important pieces of information right at the outset:
Smoking is not permitted in any NOI Techpark buildings.
Please do not bring pets into the buildings at NOI Techpark.
Monday to Friday: 7:45 a.m.–9:45 p.m.
Saturday: 9:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.
Outside of these hours, you will need your badge to access the buildings and the underground car park.
You’ll find our reception on the ground floor of the main building A1. It is staffed Monday to Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 9:45 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
The Information Desk is here to welcome guests, answer questions, receive mail and parcels and call taxis – just ask; we’re happy to help.
Please note:
Storage space is limited. If we accept a parcel on your behalf, please collect it as soon as possible.
We accept no liability for damage to or loss of items, post or parcels left with us.
How to reach the Information Desk:
+39 0471 066 650
Please ensure all deliveries are made via Via Ipazia. This is the only direct access point for suppliers. This access is reserved exclusively for delivery vehicles.
Please note:
For organisational reasons, vehicle owners must be traceable. Make sure a contact number is clearly visible on each delivery vehicle.
Always label parcels with the recipient’s first and last name, as well as the relevant institute (or NOI), to ensure they reach their destination.
NOI Techpark
Via Volta 13/A
39100 Bolzano/South Tyrol
Italy
For those arriving on foot or by bike, there are three access points: two main entrances on Via Volta next to our NOISTERIA restaurant, and a southern entrance on Via Ipazia – follow the red arrows. Please park your bike in one of the designated racks.
Employees also have access to a bicycle storage room on level -1 of the main building.
Abandoned bikes will be removed after prior notice.
The bus stops are located in front of the main entrance on Via Volta – follow the yellow markings. Line 111 runs directly between NOI, the city centre, the main railway station and the Bolzano Sud/Bozen Süd railway station. Lines 111-S, 6, 10A and 10B also stop here. You can find the departure times here.
It’s about a 10-minute walk from Bolzano Sud/Bozen Süd railway station to NOI.
You are welcome to park in our underground car park. The entrance/exit is on Via Volta, on the east side of building A5 – follow the blue arrow.
Opening hours: Monday to Friday 5:45 a.m.–11:00 p.m., Saturday 8:00 a.m.–8:30 p.m.
Take a ticket at the barrier and validate it at the pay station before leaving. Parking costs €1.50/hour incl. VAT. If you drive regularly, you can subscribe to the underground parking.
For special requests regarding underground parking – such as covering ticket fees for guests or visitors, please contact the car park operator, CSU Soc. Coop., directly.
Above-ground parking spaces are reserved exclusively for Leitner.
Caution! The grates on the ramp are slippery when wet! Two-wheelers must be pushed.
If you regularly come by car, you can purchase a monthly subscription to the underground car park. You’ll receive a transponder (similar to a Telepass) that you attach to your car for automatic access to the car park. To set this up, contact your administration office.
Subscriptions for employees are €75/month plus VAT. They form part of the service agreement between NOI SPA and the companies, start-ups and scale-ups, institutes and other players at NOI Techpark and are billed accordingly. Subject to availability and proportionality, the number of subscriptions can be increased or reduced.
To ensure optimal utilisation, the operator uses an overbooking system. Subscriptions are therefore for flexible parking – individual spaces cannot be reserved.
Please note:
If you have an underground car park subscription, please park on level -2.
In buildings D1, D2 and D3, the reserved parking spaces are clearly marked; each company is only permitted to use its designated spaces.

Do you drive an electric car? You can recharge it here. We have six charging points for electric vehicles: two charging stations at ground level (each with 11 kW charging power) and four wall boxes on level -1 of the main underground car park (buildings A1 and A2; each with 11 kW charging power). All six charging stations support standard Italian and European payment systems.
There are three Wi-Fi networks at NOI:
openAiR: free Wi-Fi for NOI-Community members and visitors (no login required)
ScientificNetworkSouthTyrol: automatically connects to your internal network (only available to start-ups and partner organisations of ScientificNetworkSouthTyrol)
eduroam: the international science network
The personal, non-transferable login credentials you receive during onboarding at NOI Techpark will allow you to connect to “ScientificNetworkSouthTyrol” and access the subnet assigned to your company.
All devices on each subnet are mutually visible (e.g., for centralised printers or NAS). However, the various subnets are fully isolated from one another.
Experiencing issues with your login credentials or network connectivity? Log a ticket by sending an email from an authorised company address to it@support.noi.bz.it.
Please note:
Support for the NOI network in the main building A1 is provided by the ICT department of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano.
Please direct IT support requests and enquiries about system technology to it@support.noi.bz.it via the ticketing system.
If you have any questions about IT or telephony, please contact your administration.
If mobile coverage is weak, we recommend switching to a provider that offers Wi-Fi calling (Voice over Wi-Fi). This lets you make and receive calls over an Italian Wi-Fi network, even without a mobile signal. As of June 2025, the service is offered by WINDTRE, TIM, Fastweb and the virtual providers Very Mobile and Sky Mobile. Please check directly with your provider.
For urgent emergencies (fire alarm, water damage, gas alarm, power outage, etc.), call +39 0471 066 640 immediately.
This number is available 24/7 and connects to our Facility Management team.
For emergencies related to the main underground car park (buildings A1 and A2), call +39 335 571 5751.
Please observe the following fire safety regulations:
Escape routes and fire protection equipment must always be accessible.
Escape doors must never be blocked.
Hazardous substances must be stored in designated areas only.
No hot work (open flames) may be carried out inside any of our buildings. If such work is necessary, it must be agreed with Facility Management in advance.
Any fire-safety violations must be reported immediately to NOI SPA. You’ll find detailed emergency and evacuation plans here.
To report a potential safety concern or suggest an improvement, please email the User Safety Coordinator at hse@noi.bz.it.
NOI provides and maintains the on-site first-aid equipment. There are three defibrillators: one is located at the Information Desk, and two are outdoors – one near the main entrance to building A1 and another between buildings A2 and B1.
All companies, institutes and institutions based at NOI Techpark are responsible for providing suitable first-aid equipment and maintaining it in accordance with the applicable guidelines.
We have contracted a security company to monitor the NOI Techpark premises. Security also manages the main gates on Via Volta – these close at 11:00 p.m. and reopen at 5:45 a.m. (on Saturdays, they open at 8:00 a.m. and close at 8:30 p.m.).
The entirety of NOI Techpark is covered by a CCTV system. The recordings are stored for 24 hours and are only accessed by law enforcement officials in the event of an emergency.

NOISE is a space for you to work, read and hold small, informal meetings. Open Monday to Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:45 p.m.

The NOI-Community has eleven shared meeting rooms spread across buildings A1 and D1. You can book these online at rooms.noi.bz.it or via the NOI-Community App.
Please note:
You can only book meeting rooms in the same building as your office.
In building D1, you can only use meeting rooms located on the same floor as your office.
The meeting rooms Samantha, Marie, Steve and Margaret in building A1, as well as all meeting rooms in building D1, are equipped with conference webcams (Media Meeting Owls) to enhance communication during hybrid meetings. Connect your laptop to the device and start your video call. If you encounter any problems, please raise a ticket by emailing it@support.noi.bz.it.
Located on the ground floor of building A1, the Maker Space is our experimental hardware lab for companies, start-ups and scale-ups, private individuals and the maker community. Across more than 400m2, you can bring your ideas to life and build product prototypes, one-offs or small series without significant upfront investment. Work with plastics, wood, metal, textiles, electronic components and more: the Maker Space features a wood shop, a metal shop, an electronics area and a textiles area. The available equipment includes waterjet machines, laser cutters, sandblasters, various 3D printers, a vinyl cutter and CNC mills, among many other tools and machines.
Good to know:
Work independently or hand your idea over to the experienced Maker Space team.
Beyond the equipment, you’ll find expert support, hands-on courses and workshops and an active maker community.
Special rates are available for students of the unibz Faculty of Engineering, start-ups in the NOI Start-up Incubator, companies based at NOI Techpark and NOI-Community members who wish to use the Maker Space in their free time.
For info on subscriptions, equipment and pricing, visit makerspace.noi.bz.it – or write to makerspace@noi.bz.it.

If you work at NOI Techpark, spread the word – whether you’re in research, business (from start-ups to scale-ups to established companies) or employed on an institutional project. Let people know that you work at NOI. It increases your reach and impact – and strengthens the entire NOI-Community.
Don’t just include the NOI address on your website and in your email signature – mention NOI wherever relevant, for example:
in interviews
in press releases
on your social media channels
And don’t forget to tag us on social media so that we can comment on or share your posts and help them gain more visibility.
Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/noi.techpark/
Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NOI.Techpark
On our website, in the Press & Media section, you will find press releases, stories of innovation, photos, hard facts, annual reports and helpful wording.
If you are unsure about something, our press team will be happy to help: press@noi.bz.it.
Important for start-ups: Your tutor will also be happy to be involved – especially when it comes to news, launches or press enquiries – so we can get the best results together.
We provide companies and start-ups based at NOI with their own logo badges. Download yours here.
We also work hard to keep your logo up to date: we regularly refresh the logos of all companies, start-ups, research institutes and institutions on our website and on-site signage. As a rule, we depict them in black and white on a black background. If a black-and-white version isn’t available, we’ll carefully adapt the logo.
With so many players at NOI, this is a sizeable task – so please help by sending us your logo as a vector file (e.g., SVG, EPS, AI) when you move in and whenever your name or design changes. Thank you!
Images and videos are powerful tools for conveying your message. If you need visuals from NOI, feel free to use our extensive, versatile photo and video archive, which you can find under Press & Media on the NOI website.
As a partner with an office at NOI Techpark – and likewise as a start-up, scale-up or company operating at NOI Techpark – you may use our image and video materials for the following purposes:
on your websites
on your social media channels WITHOUT filters or additional graphic elements
in official presentations in which you talk about your company’s location
in press releases
In our archive, you’ll find images of our growing innovation district and its architecture, as well as photos and videos showing the laboratories of our scientific partners – Eurac Research, the Laimburg Research Centre, Fraunhofer Italia and the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. We also have image material available from several companies and start-ups/scale-ups, including their events, as well as NOI-Community events. The collection includes portraits of the people who work here, along with images of projects and collaborations. All of this material follows a clearly defined visual language.
When using our images and videos, please keep these guidelines in mind:
Image credits: Please always provide the image credit, i.e., NOI Techpark and the name of the person who took the photo (e.g., Credits: NOI Techpark/Daniele Fiorentino). You can find this information in the title of the respective photo/video. If it is not available, please ask.
Original images: Please always use the existing material exactly as provided. To maintain the consistency and recognizability of our visual language, it must not be altered – that means no cropping and no added graphic elements.
Combining images: Please do not combine our image material with images that don’t originate from us. If you publish one of our images, any other images in the same post or article must also come from us. Images taken by you or by unauthorised photographers may not be combined with our archive material unless we have expressly approved it.
Important: Please do not use our images as product photo backgrounds, in sales promotions or for advertising purposes.
Photo and video shoots at NOI Techpark are possible at any time – including for commercial productions. Find all details on planning and required permits here.
Our brand presentation is the central slide deck we share across the NOI-Community for external communications. Cleanly structured and regularly updated, it encompasses general information and hard facts, our manifesto, technology sectors, services, labs, companies and more – each with tailored key visuals. It’s perfect for pitches, presentations and partner meetings.
Important: Please always use the version linked here. This ensures that figures, logos, content and visuals are up to date.
We also tell the NOI Techpark story in our image video, available here.
Lecture, workshop, seminar or conference – are you organising an event at NOI Techpark in Bolzano or Brunico? Let us know! We would be happy to publish your event in our event calendar and on the NOI-Community App.
What we need from you:
Title and description of the event (ideally in German, Italian and English)
Name of the organising company or institute
Date and times
Location and room or hall
Registration link, if applicable
Suitable image (ideally 1170x780 px)
Attachments in PDF format, if available (e.g., a programme booklet)
Please email the above to events@noi.bz.it.
Questions, concerns or needs relating to communication? Write to community@noi.bz.it.
Taking the initiative is excellent – just not when it comes to our spaces and fittings. If you plan to change, rebuild or hang something, always contact Facility Management first: fm@support.noi.bz.it.
Please note:
Any alterations or modifications to the building, facilities or furnishings require prior permission and supervision from NOI SPA. Please use the ticket system to send your request to fm@support.noi.bz.it.
Please treat the furnishings with care and notify us immediately if damage occurs. This will enable us to address the issue and prevent further damage.
Posters and advertising materials may only be displayed in consultation with NOI SPA.
Under no circumstances may you:
drill holes or hammer nails into exposed concrete walls or furniture
modify, apply stickers to or otherwise alter the provided furniture
cover glass surfaces (e.g., office cubicles or partition walls) with furniture or adhesive film
make changes to the ICT system
mount or store devices or items in the technical and electrical rooms
NOI uses a centralised digital access system with RFID badges as keys. You’ll receive comprehensive instructions along with your badge at the NOI Reception on the 2nd floor.
If your badge is lost or stolen, report it to NOI SPA immediately so we can deactivate it and issue a replacement. A fee of €30 applies.
You can use the room thermostat to adjust the temperature in your office or lab.
You can dim the floor lamps and office lights by pressing and holding the button. The floor lamps also have a motion detector that automatically switches the lamp on and off. The lighting in the open-plan offices and corridors is controlled by timers and brightness sensors – no action needed. If you leave a room with a manual light switch, however, please switch it off.
At NOI, we take waste separation seriously. Fortunately, we also make it easy: on every floor, you will find recycling stations with separate bins for plastic, paper, glass and metal, as well as bins for residual waste. Our cleaning service empties the bins daily.
If you have any items that are too large for the containers (e.g., larger boxes/cartons), please take them to the collection point yourself. You are also responsible for disposing of bulky waste, special waste and hazardous materials.
Note: The cleaning service does not empty the small bins in the offices. If you use them, please empty them yourself and follow the applicable recycling guidelines.
A contracted cleaning company handles the regular cleaning of the building. If you would like to adjust the timing, intensity or frequency of cleaning, please contact NOI SPA at fm@support.bz.it.
Plumbing, heating, cooling, access control, electrical, security and fire safety – all building services requests are handled via our central ticketing system. Simply email fm@support.bz.it with as much detail as possible, including the room/office number, a brief description of the issue and, if possible, photos.
For signage enquiries, please contact the Facility Management team via the same address so they can log a request for you.
The NOI team will inform you of planned maintenance or other scheduled interventions, as well as any related inconveniences, at the earliest possible opportunity.
Please note:
To log a request/raise a ticket, email the address above using your active email account. If you don’t have one, please contact your admin team.
Tickets are processed according to urgency.
For organisational reasons, we cannot log tickets by phone.
Whether for a coffee break, lunch or an aperitif, NOISTERIA has you covered. Open Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Community Bar on the 2nd floor of A1 – with its covered, green winter garden – is perfect for informal meetings, quick breaks or a game of table tennis. You’ll find fridges, a dishwasher and sinks for self-service. As in any good community, the facilities are for everyone to use – so please take care to keep them pleasant.
In the A1 Community Bar, you’ll also find a variety of dishes, snacks and drinks. Everything is vegan and prepared with organic or fair-trade ingredients, sourced as locally and seasonally as possible. To minimise waste, meals come in glass containers. Enjoy! To help us continue offering great food, please remember to pay for your meal using one of the available payment methods. And don’t forget to return the glass containers once you’re done.
A second Community Bar is located on the ground floor of D2. There’s a coffee machine and, from Monday to Friday, a selection of meals and snacks. The offer isn’t exclusively vegan, but it’s always healthy and balanced. Pick up your meals directly from the provider between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and pay by card or with a meal voucher. There’s no self-service here – apart from the coffee machine.
Treat yourself to a tea or coffee and strike up a conversation: NOI’s communal kitchenettes are open to everyone and are ideal for short breaks. You can heat your own food there, but they are not suitable for extensive cooking. Please tidy up after use to keep the space pleasant for everyone.
The NOI community has access to four seminar rooms with high-speed internet and a screen or monitor. You can find more information about the rooms and their equipment here.
NOI’s spacious facilities are available to book at any time for workshops, seminars and conferences – and yes, external organisers are welcome too! What’s important is that the event aligns with NOI’s values: its primary purpose should be to inspire and share knowledge, not sell or market. If you need support with event planning, our meeting management team is happy to help.
Yes, we have an amphitheatre too! This covered outdoor space is perfect for readings, talks, award ceremonies and other special occasions. The large stage area sometimes doubles as an outdoor catering venue. And from day to day, it’s also a relaxed meeting point and hangout.
NOI’s architecture tells a story: the place where we meet and work today was once a large aluminium factory. This former factory has been beautifully restored for NOI, and with its impressive 70 metres in length and approximately 10 metres in height, it provides an exceptional venue – and ample space – for special events.
